Kids Insight operates on a 1 staff member to 8 children maximum ratio. Each service has a registered service manager and a deputy manager - the Balerno service also has an assistant manager. The staffing structure includes, childcare workers, assistant senior childcare workers and senior childcare workers. All staff are members of the PVG Scheme (this is the new approach to criminal record checking that replaced Enhanced Disclosures in Scotland in 2011). All staff receive ongoing training appropriate to the role they hold.
